They use their parcels for galleries and workshops, but also as homes in SL. Others are not necessarily artists, but are just good people with good minds and big hearts who are worth knowing.

Our founder's vision is to give people freedom to sink or swim. We are offering you a rare opportunity to be creative in any way you see fit. Once accepted into our community it's up to you to make something of it. We don't care what you do -- make art, build things, sit on the beach and write, or just dance all day. If you're not sure, come hang out with us for a couple of days. You'll know pretty quickly if this is for you and it will help us know if you're the kind of person who would benefit from this opportunity.

PLEASE NOTE: We are a creative community. Our interests are primarily making and sharing wonderful things and ideas. Many of our people have galleries, but you should not be under the illusion that Artemisia is a commercial sim. We love visitors, but our purpose here is to make art and to make friends and to enjoy life. If you can make a living too, more power to you.

We are offering full shares of the island without investment. It will cost you only your share of the monthly tier, with a very small amount added to cover expenses and contingencies. There is no profit being made. If you are working the numbers, you may find other places at a lower rate per square meter. We offer a 2X prim bonus for you to build with, but the way that's possible it by setting aside a large portion of the land. We have a huge, beautiful bay and waterfront on all sides. We also have a number of areas that are set aside with park-like landscaping where buidling is not allowed. We don't have a lot of room for a lot of people. What we have is a stunningly beautiful place and a small community of interesting residents and friends. Anyone who has visited here will tell you what a special place this is. The rest is up to you.

Rentals are xurrently $30US a month for a full share (Paypal or equivalent Lindens). You will get a substantial piece of land and a generous prim allowance in one of the most special places in SL. It is expected that the rental rate will remain stable or even decrease as long as we are at or near full capacity (and barring increases from Linden Labs). We will maintain a waiting list should we get more requests than we can accommodate.

DETAILS (subject to change):

• Cost: $30US per month for a full share, due on the first of each month via Paypal or Lindens.
• A share includes approximately 2000 square meters and just over 900 prims. The land currently has a 2X prim bonus. Parcels may be irregular and you may get a little more or less than a standard share on a given parcel. We believe it's a better way to live than to lay out a grid on a flat square island. We make allowances for beauty. We can make adjustments here and there if you really need more prims or space, and there is platform sandbox space available for temporary projects.
• Some smaller pre-built gallery spaces are available. These are not simply rental spaces. Artists wishing to rent gallery spaces will be expected to be a part of our community and to keep their spaces fresh and interesting. This makes it possible for people with fewer resources to participate fully in our community. Standard rent on these galleries is 500L per month, but we are more interested in having good people in these select spaces than in rental income. Talk to us if you think you can benefit from a space here and you have limited resources.
• Unsold parcels will be offered to the public. If we don't already know you, an interview or recommendation from current residents may be requested to determine whether an applicant is appropriate for our community.
• Please read our covenant. I tend to be overly verbose, so the covenant is full of details, but the bottom line is that we want people who will appreciate the opportunity this place has to offer. Beyond that, as long as you don't make people mad at you, pretty much anything goes.
